On Aug. 7, 2017, Zack Hickman was administered his oath of office in the presence of family and friends. Deputy Hickman was raised in Douglas County and graduated from Douglas High School in 2006. Following his high school graduation Zach attended Western Nevada College and was awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. Deputy Hickman was hired by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office in 2009 and worked in their jail for three years and in their Patrol Division for five years. Deputy Hickman is happy to return to the Carson Valley, his home. Deputy Hickman will be assigned to the Patrol Division under the leadership of Captain Joe Duffy.
