GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Main Street Gardnerville (MSG) is proud to have dedicated another bench along Highway 395 as part of its downtown beautification efforts. Family and Friends along with our Board of Directors gathered in front of the Overland Restaurant, for a short “Dedication” on Wednesday, June 21st.

This is the locations of the newest bench for Garry D. Stone was placed. The bench has been generously donated by Garry’s wife Susan Stone and his family.

Garry was a native Nevadan that led a lifetime of service in Douglas, Pershing and Washoe counties. All five of his children and many of his grandchildren were in attendance for the dedication. They believe the beautiful unobscured view of the Sierras from this location would make Garry happy.

Main Street Gardnerville hopes that their bench project will eventually stretch the length of Main Street (Highway 395).

Thanks to several sponsorships, Main Street Gardnerville already has many benches placed throughout the downtown district. Each bench is sponsored for different reasons: as a memorial, a tribute or as a thank you and sponsored by a service group, a business, an individual or a family. Each bench will have a plaque affixed to it, honoring your service club, business, individual or family.
