MINDEN, Nev. — Carson Valley resident Terek Been, who earlier this year competed in the World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, has taken an important step in his quest for the Olympics.

Been has been asked to represent Ontario in the Canada Summer Ganes from July 28-Aug. 4 this summer.

The Canada Games is held every two years, alternating between summer and winter sports, and includes amateur athletes representing their province or territory.

Been competes for the University of Toronto Rowing Club. He competed with the club in the Men’s Open Collegiate race at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia last week.
