GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Clear skies are in order today and through the weekend, with a high of 65 today followed by a high of 70 on Saturday.

The next chance at precipitation has been pushed to Tuesday.

The Douglas County Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library will host their spring book sale on Saturday, April 22 from 9:00 to 5:00 and Sunday, April 23 from 9:00 to 2:00. at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Avenue in Minden. A members-only preview sale for Friends of the Library members will take today from 4 to 7 p.m.

Also this weekend, The Young At Heart senior citizens club will host its third annual trunk sale Saturday at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Douglas softball lost a heartbreaker, 10-9, to Spanish Springs in Minden Thursday evening. The Tigers rallied with seven runs in the late in the game. We’ll post photos from the game later this morning.

Douglas baseball lost to Manogue 3-1 in Reno.
