GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — This morning’s rain should begin to taper off around 11 a.m., though a chance of rain still exists for this afternoon, transitioning to scattered showers this evening. Wednesday should be mostly clear and breezy.

The Douglas County Public Library will host toddler storytime for children 18 months to 3 years of age at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in music and felt-board stories. Preschool storytime for children ages three to five years will be at 11:15 a.m. Music and a craft accompany stories. The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane.

The East Fork Fire Protection District Board of Directors meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. at the East Fork district administrative offices, 1694 County Road in Minden.

Douglas baseball is slated to host Manogue at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon, though the weather could change those plans. We’ll be watching out for any changes. And Douglas girls lacrosse travels to Galena for a 4 p.m. game tonight.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
