GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — The wind advisory that began Wednesday is set to expire at 11 a.m. today, though the gusts have calmed considerably from the overnight bluster as of 7 a.m.

Today’s forecast calls for rain and snow showers with a high near 48 degrees. Winds should range between 15 and 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. If there is snow accumulation, it should amount to less than one inch.

This system should clear out by Friday, leaving for sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s to high-60s through the weekend.

Douglas baseball is set to host Reno at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon and Douglas softball will be on the road at McQueen (also 3:45), though the reality of those games will be dependent on the amount of precipitation the Valley receives today. We’ll be keeping an eye out for schedule changes.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
