GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — There is about a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast today, and the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 2 p.m. today through late Thursday morning.

Winds will range between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph (65 in wind-prone areas).

The Carson Valley Inn reports tickets for the June 9 Kenny Loggins concert at TJ’s Corral will go on sale at 9 a.m. this morning. More information on that here.

The Douglas County Public Library will host toddler storytime for children 18 months to 3 years of age at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in music and felt-board stories. The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane.

All teens are invited to the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meetings at the Douglas County Public Library.  This month’s meeting will be held at the Minden Branch at 3 p.m., today.  Free pizza and soda.  Teens can get involved with fun library events and help plan future library programs.

Douglas baseball picked up its seventh win in its past eight games Tuesday, shutting out Hug 10-0. The Tigers will host regional powerhouse Reno on Thursday. We’ll have photos and results from Douglas High’s home track meet Tuesday later this morning.
