Baseball: Douglas Beats Hug 16-1

RENO, Nev. — The Douglas High baseball team cruised past Hug Monday afternoon in Reno, beating the Hawks 16-1.
The Tigers piled up six runs in the top of the first, and added another five in the second to put the game well out of reach.
Ayden Murphy tallied three singles, a double and a pair of RBIs, Riley Wilkinson and Isaiah Schat each drove in three runs and Haden Keller, Kindel Isham, Spencer Trivitt and Haydn Brown each drove in a run.
Schat struck out four, walked one and allowed one hit on the mound for Douglas.
The win was Douglas’ sixth in its last seven games. The Tigers host Hug Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
