MINDEN, Nev. — The Carson Valley Basketball Association (CVBA) had several teams competing this weekend at the Xtreme Hoops March Madness Tournament hosted by the Hardwood Palace in Roseville, CA.

Of note, the boys team in the 3rd and 4th grade division, coached by Alicia Main, won the division championship in decisive fashion with wins over the Atwater Flight (42-31), The Tribe Green, of Rocklin, CA (33-31) and the Chico Warriors in the Championship game (36-14).

The boys 5th grade team, coached by Dan Schierholt, also competed in the Championship game of their division by defeating AS1 (33-30) and Atwater Flight (28-23). Unfortunately the CVBA 5 team lost 36-30 by the Cal Red Raiders of Sacramento in the championship game.

The Girls CVBA 5th grade team, coached by Joe Girdner, also won their division. Scores unavailable.

And 7th grade boys, coached by Blake Myers, also won — claiming their third game in double overtime.
