Two Seriously Wounded With Gunshot Wounds In Topaz Ranch Estates Monday

MINDEN, Nev. – At 6:46 p.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call in the 1200 block of Slate Road in Topaz Ranch Estates in southern Douglas County of two victims with gunshot wounds.

Upon arrival to the residence deputies located a male, identified as Michael Dixon, age 50, with a life-threatening gunshot wound.  Douglas County Sheriff’s Office initially reported the man had died in transit to Renown, but revised the report Tuesday morning that the man is alive at Renown with a life-threatening injury.
A female, identified as Cathy Clark, age 60, was also located with a serious gunshot wound and she was transported to Renown in Reno.

Both were residents of the location, Their relationship is still being determined.

The investigation is continuing. There is no current threat to public safety.
