Softball: Douglas Wraps Up Tough Weekend Of Competition

MINDEN, Nev. — By the time the weekend had finished, the Douglas High softball team had gone head-to-head with some of the best softball teams in the country at the Dave Kops Memorial Tournament in Bullhead City, Ariz.

Douglas beat Greenway Daemons (Ariz.) 7-0 to start the tournament off, but then lost to National Top-10 Hamilton 9-0.

The Lady Tigers finished the tournament 1-5, turning in close battles against LaMirada and California.

Douglas will take on McQueen in the Northern 4A opener for both schools Thursday at 3:45 p.m. in Minden.
