Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Swears In New Deputy Todd Sampson

MINDEN, Nevada – Sheriff Ron Pierini swore in a new deputy on February 13, 2017. Deputy Todd Sampson took his oath of office in the presence of family and friends, along with several employees of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

He previously worked for Orange County Sheriff’s Office from 1990 to 1993, and then worked for Torrance Police in Torrance, California. He left Torrance Police in 2004 to move to the Carson Valley and pursue a kitchen and bath design/build business.

Deputy Todd Sampson has four grown children; one is employed as a deputy sheriff with DCSO, Deputy Matt Sampson.

Deputy Sampson has a degree in occupational studies from California State University, Long Beach. He is assigned to the Jail Division.
