Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes Deputy Colton Waggoner

MINDEN, Nev. — Colton Waggoner was administered his oath of office to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the presence of family and friends on Monday.

Deputy Waggoner graduated from Douglas High School in 2014 and continued his education by attending Yuba College in Yuba, California, where he was a track and field athlete. In 2016, he was named an All American and was ranked #2 in the state of California for the discus. He has returned to Carson Valley.

Deputy Waggoner will be assigned to the Jail Division under Captain Jim Halsey.
