Rowing: Carson Valley Resident Terek Been Shows Strong At World Indoor Rowing Championships

MINDEN, Nev. — Carson Valley resident Terek Been, who competes for the University of Toronto Rowing Club, recently competed in the 35th annual World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston.

Nearly 1,700 entrants competed in the 2,000-meter distance. The races were conducted on rowing machines, with participants rowing from a bank of machines on an arena floor.

Been competed in the 18-under age group, posting a time of 6:00.2. — which was 16th in the Open Men’s race, third in the U23 category and top among collegiate racers.
