GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Scattered snow showers overnight left for some icy and slick roads in areas around the region.

Both Kingsbury Grade and Spooner Summit have chains or snow tire requirements in place as of 6 a.m. this morning. All Douglas County valley schools are running on regular schedules. Lake schools are running main bus stops only.

Snow is likely to continue through about 10 a.m. before giving way to isolated snow showers with otherwise partly sunny skies and a high of 38 degrees with wind gusts up to 25 mph.

The rest of the week is supposed to be sunny with temperatures eventually climbing into the 50s before a chance of rain this upcoming weekend.

We have quite a few stories to bring you this morning, so keep an eye out for updates.

That’s a full lid for now. Take care out there and have a great day.
