GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Eventually, we should see a high of 41 degrees today.

As of 7 a.m., though, we’re reading at 24 degrees with slick patches around Valley roads. There is a 30 percent chance of snow showers today before 5 p.m. with less than one inch of snow accumulation. Chains or snow tires are required over the summits of Kingsbury Grade and Spooner this morning.

Friday should be relatively clear before snow returns this weekend.

Douglas County will be closing down Tillman Road between Kimmerling and Patricia this morning for an indefinite period of time in order to begin repairs on the severe pot-holing along the road.

Both the East Fork and main stem of the Carson River continued to drop in depth throughout Wednesday and overnight.

We have a number of stories to get to this morning, so keep an eye out for updates.

That’s a full lid for now. Take care out there and have a great day.
