GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — We have about a 30 percent chance of snow showers this morning before 10 a.m. From there, it’ll be mostly clear skies with a high of 36 degrees and light winds.

Temperatures are running around 29 degrees this morning, and overnight rain and snow has left for some slick roads around the Valley.

Chains or snow tires are required over Kingsbury Grade and Spooner Summit this morning.

The main stem of the Carson River crested at 7.32 feet — more than 2.5 feet below flood stage — between 5 and 6 a.m. today.

The Douglas County Public Library will host toddler storytime for children 18 months to 3 years of age at 10:30 a.m., today. Children will participate in music and felt-board stories. The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
