Annual Cowboy Mardi Gras To Benefit Austin’s House Feb. 24

MINDEN, Nev. — Austin’s House invites you to the ninth annual Cowboy Mardi Gras fundraiser on Friday, February 24th at the Carson Valley Inn from 6 to 10 p.m. Put on your jeans, boots, and cowboy hat to celebrate the party atmosphere of Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Fat Tuesday. This casual and crazy fundraiser features great food, music, dancing, raffle prizes, and silent auction.

The Cowboy Mardi Gras starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Then you will feast on a delicious western BBQ buffet dinner with all the trimmings. Beer, wine, and cocktails will be available for purchase. After dinner, the Cowboy Mardi Gras party hits full stride with music and dancing. The fabulous silent auction and raffle have wonderful donated prizes from local businesses.

Austin’s House is a private emergency shelter and compassionate care home for children ages newborn to 18 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. This is the only home in rural Northern Nevada providing a nurturing living and learning environment until the children are reunited with their family, or an appropriate long term placement is made. The annual Cowboy Mardi Gras is the shelter’s main fundraiser of the year, please join us for lots of fun for a great cause!

The ticket donation for the festive Cowboy Mardi Gras dinner and party to benefit Austin’s House is only $60. Tables of 10 are available for $600.
