Douglas Drama Club & Troupe Competes At Regional Thespian Festival

MINDEN, Nev. —  DHS Drama Club and Troupe 990 competed at the Regional Thespian Festival this Saturday and walked away with 28 of the 33 thespians earning excellent or superior rankings, which allows them to advance to the State Thespian Festival to be held in March in Las Vegas. We had the 2nd strongest showings of Northern Nevada schools.

Nicole Epper received a perfect score for Contrasting Monologues. Other Superior Scores were Olivia Swearingen in Solo Musical; Christian Barr, Natalie Maddox, and Lindsay Thew in Contrasting Monologues; Willard Franklin & Natalie Maddox and Nicole Epper & Brendyn Carpenter in Duo Scenes.

The troupe hosts an Improv Show Feb. 11, 17, 18. Shows are at 7 p.m. with a matinee on the 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.
