GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives and the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce are holding a free seminar on Saturday, January 14th. The ‘Start-Up Basics’ seminar is designed primarily for those who are considering starting a new business.
It will cover areas such as critical success factors, evaluating and protecting your idea, legal structures, marketing, financial planning, funding, business plans and launching your business. The two hour session, held at the Carson Valley Museum at 1477 Hwy 395 in Gardnerville, will begin at 9A and there is no charge to attend.
“This seminar is well worth the time if you’re thinking about striking out on your own,” said Bill Chernock, Executive Director of the Chamber. “It really is a fact check that can help entrepreneurs quickly determine their chances of success. It also can help small business people who have already started their business by providing insights into what they need to be doing.”
Reservations are requested for the seminar, and can be made at the Chamber’s website, www.carsonvalleynv.org. From the home page, navigate to the Calendar and then to the event listing. You can also call the Chamber at 782-8144 to register.
