MINDEN, Nev. — Cody Jackson, a Boy Scout with local Troop 340 in Minden, recently completed his Eagle Scout service project on the Fay-Luther Trail System in Carson Valley.

Cody led the refurbishing of the Fay-Luther Trailhead kiosk and trail maintenance on the Sandy Trail.

The kiosk was sanded, repainted and missing shingles were replaced.

A quarter mile of the Sandy Trail was maintained by clearing away encroaching brush. Cody would like to thank Home Depot for donating the kiosk supplies, Walmart for donating food, and everyone who participated in his project, including fellow scouts, the Carson Valley Trails Association, friends and family.
