Douglas High Students Brush With ‘Life After High School’ During College & Career Awareness Day

MINDEN, Nev. — Douglas High School hosted its annual “Life After High School” College and Career Awareness Day on Thursday.

“Life After High School” is a career fair-style event designed to provide students with information regarding options that are available to them in the Northern Nevada region.

Presenters included a wide range of businesses, schools and careers. The University of Nevada Reno, regional colleges, Nevada State High School, GE Bently, Douglas County, Paul Mitchell Academy,  Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, JOIN Inc., US Army,the US Marines,  and US Navy were among the many pathways represented.

Students filtered in and out of the school’s gymnasium throughout the day, talking to representatives, performing skills assessments and receiving information from the various booths.
