GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Saletti’s Restaurant & Bar defending its Dessert Wars title, carrying nearly 43 percent of the vote with its flourless “Chocolate Silk.”

It received a challenge from the “White Chocolate Bread Pudding” from Overland Restaurant & Pub, which carried 30 percent of the vote.

As always, we encourage you to get out and try all of the finalists and honorable mentions as they all have something pretty special to offer.

Nominees had to come from locally unique restaurants and had to be within the CVT coverage area (the Douglas-Carson line to the north, the foot of the Carson Range to the west, the Pine Nuts to the east and the state line to the south).

Up next month, we’ll be debuting Dog Wars — our search for Carson Valley’s Signature Hot Dog, Sausage or Bratwurst. Start thinking of your nominees now, and get read to vote for them in a couple weeks.
