Carson Valley’s Signature Salad Of 2016: Cafe Girasole ‘Field Of Greens With Curry Chicken’
GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — By the narrowest of margins, Cafe Girasole’s “Field of Greens with Curry Chicken” salad defended its Salad Wars title, holding off The Grill Next Door by 2.3 percentage points.
We have created a virtual throwdown among Valley restaurants, seeking out the signature dishes Carson Valley has to offer (you can see the results here).
Nominees had to come from locally unique restaurants. Nominees should be within the CVT coverage area (the Douglas-Carson line to the north, the foot of the Carson Range to the west, the Pine Nuts to the east and the state line to the south).
As always, we encourage you to get out and try all of the finalists and honorable mentions.
July marks Dessert Wars. Start thinking of your favorite Carson Valley dessert treats to enter in the nomination round.
