Dinner Fundraiser Set For Aug. 8 For Ethan McKinney

Friends of Ethan McKinney

Ethan McKinney is a 14-year-old boy born and raised in Gardnerville. This fun loving, animal-raising, smart young man’s whole life was changed when he heard the words no one want to hear: Cancer.

In January, Ethan was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. He has been in and out of the hospital ever since. Because there is no pediatric cancer center in Northern Nevada, his parents must take him to San Francisco and/or Oakland, California to receive his treatments. Since his diagnosis, Ethan has undergone chemotherapy, radiation and is currently going through another round of chemo. As you can imagine, the medical expenses, as well as travel expenses are adding up.

Ethan comes from a strong, hardworking family, but at times like these, everyone can use some extra help. Friends and family have coordinated a benefit dinner and auction to support Ethan and his family on August 8, 2015 from 5-9 pm at Ferris Park: 1751 Orbit Way in Minden.

First and foremost, we would love to have you and yours join us at the dinner. Tickets are available online at https://itrulycare.com/friendsofethan/events/ or can be purchased locally at Laxague Feed or Coldwell Banker.

We also hope to raise money through our auction. We are seeking your support to provide
donations for our auction. Gift certificates, gift baskets, excursions, household décor, sporting goods, art, and anything else that is new or unused is appreciated.

If you would like to send in your donation, please send it to Coldwell Banker at the address above. We will also be happy to pick up any donation, or you may drop it off at Ferris Park between 2-4 p.m. on August 8. Please contact the Jennifer at 775-720-9033, or by e-mail, jworthit@gmail.com, if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for your support of this wonderful, strong boy!
