Carson Valley’s Signature Dessert For 2015: ‘Chocolate Silk Cake’ From Saletti’s

Saletti’s Restaurant & Bar claimed the title for Carson Valley’s Signature Dessert for 2015 with its Flourless Chocolate Silk Cake, carrying 45 percent of the vote during the final round.

We have created a virtual throwdown among Valley restaurants, seeking out the signature dishes Carson Valley has to offer. We’ve been making our way around the dinner table with a new specific category every month (you can see the results here).

Finalists had to come from locally unique restaurants within the CVT coverage area (the Douglas-Carson line to the north, the foot of the Carson Range to the west, the Pine Nuts to the east and Ruhenstroth to the south).
