Strong thunderstorms are expected with flash flooding, debris flow and mud slides possible along roadways.

The National Weather Service also cautioned against driving vehicles into areas where water covers the road. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear and a few inches of fast-flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the road.

The areas of greatest risk are anywhere near recent burn scars (still including the 2013 Bison Fire), locations previously impacted by flash flooding Sunday and Monday, poorly drained urban areas and locations near steep terrain. They also caution never to attempt to drive through flood waters and that rock and debris flows may impact travel.
