GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — We’re due for another mini-cycle of weather today, with a high of 92 degrees expected this afternoon, followed by isolated thunderstorms and rain showers (40 percent chance, but if this week is showing us anything, it’s really about a 60-70 percent chance if not more).

Yesterday’s rain waited until late in the evening, when it poured for about 15-20 minutes – at least over the Gardnerville Ranchos.

The battery of afternoon thunderstorms is expected to continue through Tuesday at least.

Tomorrow is the Independence Day. We have a list of Valley celebrations

    available here.

The Douglas County Public Library is hosting Space Super Hero movie day today starting at 11 a.m. with WALL-E, The Rocketeer and October Sky.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
