GARDNERVILLE, Nev., June 25, 2015 — This will be somewhat brief as we have a lot to catch up on and a lot to get to this morning.

Air quality continues to bounce around the AQI scale in the Valley due to the Washington Fire smoke. As of this writing, it’s in the “unhealthy range,” but it started out similarly Wednesday and wound up in the moderate to good range by the end of the day. If you’re curious about current conditions, you can check out the reading here: http://nvair.ndep.nv.gov/

Firefighters are continuing to make progress on the Washington Fire south of Markleeville and are hoping to get a big day of work in today before record highs and dry thunderstorms begin to roll in for the weekend. You can find our latest updates on that story here.
