Good Morning, Carson Valley: June 18

GARDNERVILLE, Nev., June 18, 2015 — The Douglas County Board of Commissioners meets today up at Stateline at 1:30 p.m. You can view their full agenda here. They’ll meet for a separate work session prior to the meeting at noon at the Kahle Community Center for a presentation on North Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility capacity study and estimated system capacity findings.

Oakland Raiders offensive line coach Mike Tice will be at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, Carson Valley branch to make a presentation this afternoon to kick off his charity event weekend in the Valley. Last year, he and his friends raised more than $130,000 for the local Boys and Girls Clubs.

Part of the  event will be a Crawfish Feed will be held at TJ’s Corral at the Carson Valley Inn at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015, with live music provided by “Decades.” The menu includes crawfish, blackened chicken, dirty rice, hush puppies, sweet corn casserole, and red beans. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased by calling 775-771-6432.
