Good Morning, Carson Valley: June 17
by Joey Crandall, email@example.com
GARDNERVILLE, Nev., June 17, 2015 — We were happy overall with the response to our Oral History of ‘The Wizard’ published last Friday about when film crews descended on Carson Valley 26 years ago. We never could have expected the film’s star, Fred Savage, to read it though.
Here’s what popped up on his Twitter feed Tuesday morning:
Good times! I'm happy Carson Valley remembers our shoot there as fondly as I do. https://t.co/EFg0bfPXwp

The Douglas County Public Library hosts storytime at 10:30 at Lampe Park near the Farmers Market. Children ages three and up are invited to attend. The program includes stories, music, and crafts. Information, douglas.lib.nv.us, or call the library at 775-782-9841.
Douglas baseball plays at Galena at 5 p.m. in Summer League action tonight and the Carson Valley Lions Club will meet at Hamdogs Restaurant. Dinner is at 6:00 pm and the program starts at 7:00 pm. Information, Gareth Craner, 775-782-7975.
Look for sunny skies this afternoon with a high of 92 degrees and winds gusting up to 25 mph. Temperatures should remain in the low 90s through early next week, without much change to the overall conditions outside.
That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
