GARDNERVILLE, Nev., June 12, 2015 — The Davis Shows Carnival will run from 3 to 11 p.m. tonight at Lampe Park as part of the Carson Valley Days festivities.

Bounzity Bounce House Rentals along with the assistance from Northwest Martial Arts will be holding the 3rd annual bounce for donations event during Carson Valley Days at Lampe Park. Donations this year will be given 50/50 to the Carson City Cancer Resource Center and again to the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 club #730.

Also at Lampe, the White Hats will provide live music from 5 to 7 p.m. and Worn Out Welcome will provide music from 8 to 10 p.m.

The Carson Valley Days parade starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, though the main road will close at 8 a.m. so make sure to plan accordingly. You can find the Carson Valley Days schedule here.

We published our oral history this morning of when the film crews came to town to film “The Wizard” 26 years ago today. You can read it here.

Today is also the last chance to vote in the nomination round of our search for Carson Valley’s Signature Pasta dish. Find the ballot here.

Elsewhere on the calendar, Douglas travels to Carson for a 7 p.m. summer league baseball game tonight.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
