GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Friday evening’s thunder and rain storm brought with it downpours around the Valley and one report of a tree fire off of Monitor Pass, which was extinguished within an hour.

An 80 percent chance of rain holds for Saturday, most likely rolling in after 11 a.m., with the chance of rain remaining in the forecast through every day of next week.

CVT readers shared a bunch of photos from last night’s storm, mostly of the stunning rainbows that covered over the Valley just before sunset. If you have a photo to share with the CVT readership, feel free to e-mail it to joey@carsonvalleytimes.com or post to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cvalleytimes.
