MINDEN, Nev. — The Suicide Prevention Network of Douglas County recently donated a dance scholarship to the Dance Workshop from some of the proceeds from the third annual Gotta Dance fundraiser.
“Our hope is that a young boy or girl who could not afford dance lessons for a year can take advantage of this scholarship,” said Debbie Posnien, executive director of the Suicide Prevention Network.
Participants in the most recent Gotta Dance gathered at Battle Born Wine recently and presented Craig and Ann Peters, owners of the Dance Workshop with the scholarship.
“The dance workshop prepares all of the dances that are done and also helps some of the dancers with costumes,” Posnien said.
