MINDEN, Nev. — Douglas County officials are hosting a Financial State of the County event on June 11, 2015. The County’s Fiscal Year 2015-16 budget will be presented. The event will highlight the progress over the past few years on priority issues as well as identify the challenges on the forefront for the year ahead. This year’s event will again showcase several local businesses with “Spotlight Awards” for outstanding contributions to the community and partnership with the County.

“Douglas County made great progress with financial stability, expanded services through our new Community and Senior Center, and fostering public and private partnerships,” said County Manager Jim Nichols. “We must now continue to focus on revitalizing our main streets, organizational sustainability, and investing in our infrastructure for the future.”
