Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes Deputy Lizzeth Lopez

MINDEN, Nev. — Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini is proud to announce the recent appointment of a new Douglas County Deputy Sheriff.

Lizzeth Lopez was sworn in on Monday, June 1, 2015 in a ceremony held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Minden, Nevada.

The appointment comes as a result of several months of testing and evaluation consisting of a physical agility test, oral interview, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, and medical exam.

Deputy Lopez holds a Category 1 Peace Officers Standards and Training certificate and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She will begin her career at Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the Jail Division.

Deputy Lopez worked for 2 years as an Officer for the West Wendover Police Department prior to this assignment.
