Douglas County Public Library Summer Reading Program Opens

MINDEN, Nev. — “Every Hero Has a Story” is the theme of this year’s Summer Reading Program for kids at the Douglas County Public Library. Registration starts on June 1 at the Minden and Zephyr Cove libraries. The program continues through July 31. Go to the library’s website and fill out a registration form. Bring your printed form to the library. Visit the library’s website for program information and sign up to receive e-mail/text reminders.

Join us at the C.V.I.C. Hall for the Summer Reading Kick-off on June 9. Brüka Theatre for Children will present “The Wishing Well” at 6:30 p.m. Children are invited to participate in this live theatre performance. Families of all ages will enjoy the program.

The Books Are Fun book fair will run from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Douglas County Library Foundation will host an Ice Cream Social from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. Learn how you can help them continue to support the library.
