GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — It’s graduation day for 360-some-odd Douglas High seniors. Congratulations to them all, as well as to the seniors who graduated from ASPIRE Academy Thursday night and the seniors who will graduate from Sierra Lutheran Saturday afternoon.

Douglas High’s ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. on the softball field behind the school. If you can’t make it, the school is live streaming the event this year here:

We will be in the 400 hall conducting a photo booth for the graduates prior to the ceremony as they show up around 4 p.m.

The GE Family Concert Series kicks off tonight at Minden Park with Garratt Wilkin & the Parrotheads at 6:30 p.m.

The Record-Courier reports current Douglas County School District director of human resources Teri White has been offered the job as new superintendent. You can read their story here.

It’s going to be warm this afternoon, to the tune of about 85 degrees with calm winds around 5 mph. It’ll stay in the 80s through the weekend before cooling slightly for the first week of June.

We have a lot going on this morning, so keep an eye out for updates.

That’s a full lid for now. Take care out there and have a great day.
