GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Looking across the forecast for the week, it’s pretty much rain straight across the board, including an 80 percent chance of it today. It reads, exactly, “Scattered showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm.” Look for a high of 57 degrees with calm winds.

The next time we see straight-up sun in the forecast (as of now) will be Sunday.

A congratulations go out to all the high school track & field and swimming & diving athletes who competed at the state championships over the weekend. You can find their results at the preceding links. And the Douglas County Killer Whales Special Olympic Swim Team competed at the Special Olympic Regionals in Carson on Sunday.

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners will discuss tentative budgets and adopt final budgets for the fiscal year 2015-16 during a special meeting today at 4 p.m. at the Douglas County Historic Courthouse, 1616 8th Street.

We’re giving away five Minden Meat & Deli burgers over on our Facebook page this afternoon. Follow this link over there to learn how to enter.

We have quite a busy day in front of us, so keep an eye out for some stories and updates.

That’s a full lid for now. Take care out there, and have a great day.
