Carson Valley’s Signature Appetizer For 2015: Saletti’s Calamari
It was close the whole way, but a surge late in the week pushed Saletti’s and its macadamia-nut-encrusted calamari steak to the top of the list as Carson Valley’s Signature Appetizer of 2015. The dish carried nearly 46 percent of the vote in claiming the win.
Our four finalists were certainly all worthy contenders and even more worthy of getting out and trying for yourself. That’s the point of what why we do all this, to get hungry people into local eateries to enjoy the dishes created locally.
Up next month, we think this one is going to cause quite a debate: We’ll be looking for Carson Valley’s Signature Breakfast. Start thinking of your nominees now. If you think of one, feel free to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or post to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cvalleytimes. Nominations for Breakfast Wars will start April 6.
