’07 Nevada POL winner Jake Reid, Douglas County winner Dominique Groffman, Eleanor Billington with the National Endowment for the Arts.

Douglas High School’s Dominique Groffman won the Nevada State Poetry Out Loud competition in Reno on Saturday with her recitation of “Often Rebuked, Yet Always Back Returning” by Emily Brontë. She next heads  to Washington D.C. for the National Finals April 28-29, 2015
Second Place: Clark County’s Dylan Baker of College of Southern Nevada High School West (placing poem recitation: The Larger by Joanie Mackowski)
 
Third Place: Washoe County’s Whitney Reyes of Wooster High School (placing poem recitation: Famous by Naomi Shihab Nye)
