Softball: Douglas Swamps Hug

RENO, Nev. — The Douglas High softball team rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Hug Saturday in Reno, improving to 3-0 on the young season.

Douglas won 20-1 in three innings and 18-0 in five innings to claim the sweep.

Allison Meyer tripled, went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in Game 1, Kaitlyn Bowman went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a double, Kylie Swan went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs, Mackenzie Brixey went 2-for-2 with two 2 RBIs, Nichole Dunn went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Layne Waggoner went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Shaena Robinson went 1-for-4 with one RBI, Makayla Shaver went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Casey Peck went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Bowman struck out five, walked none and tossed a one-hitter.
