GARDNERVILLE, Nev., March 9, 2015 – Hopefully, at some point this weekend, you remembered to set your clocks ahead an hour.

Or perhaps, you set your clocks ahead an hour, but also have those magic clocks that set themselves ahead an hour on their own, so you’re up an extra hour early.

Not saying that’s what happened here, but we do seem to have an extra hour on our hands this morning …

If none of the above scenarios apply to you, then we offer the following public service announcement: You are running very late. So we’ll keep it short.

We have an exceptionally busy morning ahead of us, including checking in on some service calls from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office that were floating around Sunday afternoon and evening.

We also have a full weekend of high school sports to round up. And this week’s job openings and Real estate listings. And a whole list of other headlines to post. So keep an eye out for those.

In today’s weather, brought to you by Sierra Chef, we have a high of 60 degrees this afternoon with mostly clear skies and calm winds. Overnight low of 29. Much the same on Tuesday, but we have a slight chance of rain starting Tuesday night and rain likely on Wednesday. Whatever we get is supposed to clear out by Thursday, giving way to more 70 degree weather and clear skies for the weekend.

Sierra Chef’s next cooking class will be March 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Italian Hearts Pasta Sauces Kitchen, 1425 Industrial Way in Gardnerville. Chef Diane Weidinger of Heart Rock Herb & Spice is the guest instructor, covering spice blending for dishes such as Zucchini Feta Pancakes, Mini Beef Sliders, Honey Glazed Carrots and more. Ability level is for beginner adults (over 21) for the hands-on instructional session. Class size limit is 12 and cost is $75 per person. To sign up for the class, visit this link.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
