Douglas County Public Library To Host LEGO Mindstorms Program March 14

MINDEN, Nev. — Join other teens and the Douglas County Public Library Teen Advisory Board for a Lego® Mindstorms® program on Saturday, March 14 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Minden Library.  This free event promotes interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.  Each group of teens will program a robot to perform a task.

Scot Duncan will assist Youth Services Librarian Kathy Echavarria with the program.  He works with M3 (M Cubed), an award-winning robotics team from Pinion Hills Elementary and Carson Valley Middle School that competes in FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League events.
