Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Introduces New Deputy Christopher Carson; Promotes Jeff Schemenauer

Minden, Nevada – Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini is proud to announce the recent appointment of a new Douglas County Deputy Sheriff and, a promotion to Sergeant.

Christopher Carson was sworn in on Monday, February 9, 2015 in a ceremony held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Valley Station, in Minden, Nevada.

The appointment comes as a result of several months of testing and evaluation consisting of a written examination, physical agility test, oral interview, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, and medical exam.

Deputy Carson will now undergo a rigorous 12-week jail training program to provide him with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform his duties as a jail deputy.

Deputy Carson currently resides in Sparks, NV and graduated from Reed High School. Deputy Carson has obtained a BA in Criminal Justice from UNR and received a Category 1 POST certificate from the Northern Regional Training Center.

Investigator Jeff Schemenauer was promoted from Investigator to the rank of Sergeant.
