Volleyball: Douglas falls to Carson in four games

RAHPhotosNVJANUARYThe Douglas High volleyball team fell to rival Carson in four games Tuesday night in Minden.

Douglas dropped to 14-6 overall on the year with the loss.

Shay Worley was selected as the player of the match for the Tigers after coming up with 10 digs, eight service points and strong defensive play.

Carmen Shaw had 13 kills to lead the Tiger attack, Ariah Barth had six kills, Aubrey Caires had five and Johnnie Saletti and Talyn Jackson each had three. Caires had five blocks and Shaw added another four.

Jackson had eight digs, Barth chipped in six, Maddy Lowe and Kaycee Battcher each had four, Johnnie Saletti had three and Shaw, Delaney Jacobson and Caires each had one.

Jackson finished with 18 digs.

JV

The Douglas JV volleyball team came from behind on Tuesday night and
beat rival Carson in 3 sets and 25-27, 25-12, 15-12

On offense Allison Dodd recorded 5 kills while Desiree Lehrke and Ashley
Campagna had 4 each.

Hanna Grisell supplied 3 aces and 5 assists.

On defense Sarah Carter led and inspired team effort with 9 digs and
Ashley Campagna had 8

Douglas improved to 12-8 with the win and hosts Wooster on Thursday
evening at 5 p.m.

FRESHMEN

Douglas Frosh fought hard but fell to rival Carson in 3 games.
