by Joey Crandall, joey@carsonvalleytimes.com

We may be out of the 80 degree weather for quite a while. We say that not really knowing anything about anything, except that we’re looking at 76 degrees and a steady cooling trend down into the 60s by late next week. It’ll be clear skies and light winds across the board.

The Douglas girls tennis team hosts Galena in the regional semifinals today at 3 p.m. The winner advances to the regional final Friday, most likely against Reno at the Caughlin Club in Reno.

The remainder of today’s calendar, brought to you by k2 Pilates,  includes mostly more sports. The Douglas freshman and JV football teams host Spanish Springs this afternoon, the Douglas girls soccer program travels to Spanish Springs for a 6 p.m. game ad the Douglas volleyball team travels to Damonte Ranch for a 6 p.m. match.

That’s a full lid on a somewhat abbreviated morning news roundup for today. Take care out there and have a great day.
