We had a lunar eclipse over the Valley (of course it was viewable all over the place, but we like to think of things as ours) early this morning and we received this photo from Minden resident Raffy Kouyoumdjian:

The Douglas High girls soccer team remained perfect on the year Tuesday night, defeating Damonte Ranch 5-0 in Reno. Douglas girls tennis advanced to Thursday’s regional semifinal with a 14-4 win over Carson Tuesday. The Lady Tigers will host Galena Thursday at 3 p.m. And Douglas volleyball fell in three games to league-leading Manogue Tuesday night.

Today, the Douglas boys soccer team gets its shot against Damonte Ranch at 7 p.m. in Reno and the Douglas girls golf team competes at Rosewood Lakes at noon.

It’s expected to get to 81 degrees this afternoon, 76 tomorrow and decline steadily down to 71 through next week on the weather front.

In today’s calendar, brought to you by k2 Pilates, the Douglas County Public Library hosts Toddler Storytime (18 months to 3 years old) at 10:30 a.m. The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane.  Visit douglas.lib.nv.us, or call 775-782-9841 for more information.

The Douglas Center for Hope and Healing offers a grief and loss support group on the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of every month at  1677 Lucerne Street, Suite B in Minden from 6 to 7 p.m.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
