Swimming & Diving: Douglas swim teams win duals vs. Manogue, Wooster

The Douglas swim team picked up wins against Wooster and Manogue on Friday at the Carson Valley Swim Center. Douglas boys beat Wooster 263-24 and Manogue 232-58.

The Douglas girls beat Manogue 193-121 and Wooster 239-70.

The boys 200 free relay team of Josh Smithen, Kevin Smithen, Joe Sullivan and Janosch Lancaster won its race in a season-best time of 1:34.28.

Highlights included Erica Chappell winning the 500 free with a time of 5:45.63 and taking second second in the 100 free. Shelby Koontz won the 50 free and 100 free.

Shaelin Morefield won the 200 free with a time of 2:01.57 and Kaila Duffy won the 100 fly with a time of 1:03.69.

Audrey Mullers competed in her first 500 free, taking seventh and Kassidy Freitas has a strong swim in the 100 breaststroke.

On the boys side, Janosch Lancaster won the 100 fly and 100 free. Ryan Chen took second in the 100 breaststroke.
