The first public electric vehicle charging station in the Carson Valley has been installed on Eddy Street next to the Historian Inn in Gardnerville.

The dual port charging station can charge two cars simultaneously and was installed in a joint effort between the Town of Gardnerville and NV Energy to serve the rapidly emerging market of electric vehicles. Because of the grant from NV Energy, there is no charge to use the station for the first 5 years.

While charging your car, be sure to visit some of our local merchants or have breakfast/lunch/dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
